The English and Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Attraction recorded a superb victory in the day's feature race, the Coronation Stakes. The Mark Johnson-trained filly received a magnificent welcome in the winners' enclosure afterwards.
But the Queen's hopes of a winner disappeared in the Wolferton Rated Stakes when Promotion, ridden by Kieren Fallon could only finish second to Red Fort.

Oscar Urbina finished the day on a high when Unscrupulous ran out an easy winner of the Buckingham Palace Stakes and gave James Fanshawe a first success after the disappointing defeat of Soviet Song on Tuesday.
Urbina's mount headed the high-drawn group on the far side who seemed to have the edge during the race and he raced on well to the line.
The well-backed favourite New Seeker led the group on the stand side but they were left second-best with New Seeker finishing best in fourth place.

Although it was Tuning Fork and Ulundi who made much of the early running, Red Fort was travelling with ease throughout the race.
But coming into the home straight, Robinson guided his mount through to challenge and showed a good turn of speed to get to the line well ahead of Promotion, who seemed to tire a little late on.

Majestic Desert and Ted Durcan just managed to edge out Red Bloom and Kieren Fallon for second place on the line.

2. Spirit of Chester R Havlin 40-1
3. Salsa Brava J-P Guillambert 14-1

Richard Hughes and Jewel in the Sand are rewarded for a patient ride up the rails to take the Albany Stakes.
In a keenly-contested race, Hughes and his mount came through well to give both Hughes and trainer Richard Hannon their first win of this year's meeting.
Spirit of Chester overcame a low draw to finish a big-priced second with Salsa Brava doing well for third but the favourite Masa, ridden by Frankie Dettori, couldn't find a way through and finished down the field.
