Plymouth ended their eight-game losing run with a 78-71 win over Guildford Heat despite being without James Noel, who was injured in a car accident. Noel suffered whiplash but in his absence the Raiders fought back from 41-25 down at half time to record their first away win of the season. "[Losing Noel] was a bad start to the day," said Raiders coach Gary Stronach. "It took the team a while to get into the game, but when they did they played very well." The Heat opened up a 24-17 lead inside the first 10 minutes and extended their advantage to 12 points by the half-time interval, despite a late rally from the visitors. The Raiders continued to improve in the third quarter to level the game at 46-46 and led 64-60 going in to the final period. The game remained close and the Heat reclaimed the lead at 69-68 with five minutes to go. But the Raiders edged back in front and restricted the hosts to just two more points on their way to victory.
