Brad Guzan is the latest American keeper to try his luck in the Premier League, following in the footsteps of Tim Howard, Brad Friedel, Kasey Keller and Marcus Hahnemann.

The 23-year-old has joined Aston Villa from the MLS after securing a work permit.

Derby's Brazil-born midfielder Benny Feilhaber is the other British-based player in the squad. Feilhaber is skilful and good on the ball, with Champions League and Bundesliga experience from his time with Hamburg.

Former Fulham star Brian McBride is also playing, with the hard-working striker now with hometown club Chicago Fire.
