Photographic competition

All you budding sports photographers now have a chance to show just how good you are with a camera.

Get out and about during the Championship and get clicking. This a platform for the many amateur snappers to capture the moment.

So we would like you to send in your sporting photographs. It is not a competition nor is it just about action photos from the top sporting venues, it is about anything GAA.

Whether it is at club grass-root level, travelling to a game, gruelling training sessions, titanic tussles at any level, meeting famous sports people or anything else that tells a sporting story, let us see it.

You can choose any subject to photograph, but don't forget to ask permission from parents or guardians if the subject is under 16.

How to submit a picture

So for you amateur photographers please get out there and start snapping, then e-mail your pictures to us at: [email protected]

Please remember to put "Sports Photograph" on the subject line and include your name, address and contact details along with some background information about the image.

Submissions must be in digital form; ideally Jpegs with a height or width of about 800 pixels.


Terms of use
In accordance with section 9 of the BBC's Terms of use you agree to grant to the BBC a non-exclusive licence to publish and use your photographs for non-commercial purposes. Copyright will however remain with the photographer.

The BBC cannot guarantee that all pictures and will be used and we reserve the right to edit your comments. By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules.
