Tyrone miss out on Croke
Dublin's John McNally gets the ball away from Armagh's Steven McDonnell and Kieran Hughes
Dublin played their NFL game against Armagh at Croke

Tyrone fans hoping to see their county play the National League game against Dublin at Croke Park on 16 February have been disappointed.

GAA authorities have ruled that no more Allianz NFL fixtures will be staged at headquarters until after the All-Ireland club finals on St Patrick's Day.

Last Sunday's league mach between Dublin and All-Ireland champions Armagh pulled in a crowd of 54,432 after it was switched to Croke.

Despite that success, and the fact that Tyrone are the league holders, the Red Hand county will play Dublin at Parnell Park, the Leinster champions' customary league venue.

Losing start

Before that game, Tyrone hope to get their leaue campaign back on track by beating Galway at home on 9 February.

With Mickey Harte in charge for the first time for an NFL fixture, Tyrone got off to a losing start last Sunday when they were pipped by a point away to Roscommon.

However, Harte was not too downhearted because Tyrone went into the game six Errigal Ciaran players and injured duo Kevin Hughes and Cormac McAnallen.

"In the circumstances, I felt it was a good performance," said Harte.

"I have to hand it to Roscommon - they fought to the very end."
