Alastair Seeley is now fifth in the Championship standings |
William Dunlop was the highest Northern Ireland finisher at Sunday's British Superbike meeting at Thruxton as he took fifth in the 125 class. Dunlop is fourth in the Championship behind James Lodge who won on Sunday. Michael Laverty's sixth place in Sunday's second race was the top Northern Ireland Superbike finish after he took 10th in the opening race. His brother John claimed seventh and eighth places while Alastair Seeley had to settle for 12th and ninth places. Seeley's performances were a disappointment after his third and fourth places in the opening round at Brands Hatch two weeks ago. Seeley is now fifth in the Championship standings. Championship leader Tommy Hill won the opening Superbike race and was runner-up in the second race behind Josh Brookes. Lee Johnston and Paul Jordan were ninth and 13th respectively in the Supersport race.
