Kung is 11 under par |
Candie Kung held off a hard-charging Michele Redman to share the lead with Hee-Won Han after the second round of the Wendy's Championship for Children. Taiwan's Kung carded a three-under-par 69 for an 11-under halfway total, following her 64 in the first round on Friday.
"It was a little shaky today," said Kung after a round including four birdies and a bogey. "I couldn't hit the ball close but it was great to birdie the last."
South Korea's Han fired a bogey-free, seven-under round of 65 that moved her alongside Kung on the leaderboard.
She closed with consecutive birdies as she aims to improve on last year's second place over the Tartan Fields course.
Redman delivered a scorching round of 63, one off the tournament record set by Wendy Ward two years ago.

Starting on the back nine, Redman drained seven birdies before sinking an eagle putt at her last hole, the par-five ninth. "You know, I didn't really think about shooting a number today," she said. "But I made some putts today, and yesterday I didn't make anything."
Ward signed for a 67 and is among four players three shots behind, a group also including Scotland's Catriona Matthew after her second successive 68.
Defending champion Mi Hyun Kim of South Korea is a further shot back.
