Daly out of Scottish Open
John Daly
Daly is a doubt for the Open
Former Major winner John Daly has pulled out of the Scottish Open, citing a wrist injury.

The long-driving American, who remains a drawcard wherever he plays, had fired rounds of 74, 66 and 77 at Loch Lomond.

But the 37-year-old announced his decision to withdraw shortly before he was due to tee off with New Zealand's Greg Turner in Sunday's final round.

Daly, the 1991 USPGA and 1995 Open champion, is exempt from qualification for next week's Open at Royal St George's.

But his appearance at 2003's third Major must now be in some doubt.
