Wycombe extend John Akinde's loan from Bristol City

Wycombe Wanderers have extended the loan deal of Bristol City striker John Akinde for a further month.

Chairboys boss Gary Waddock told the club website: "I'm pleased we've been able to extend the deal.

"He didn't play too many matches in his first month but he is getting fitter and stronger with every game."

The 20-year-old, in his second loan spell at Adams Park, has made five appearances so far and will now stay at the club until 16 January.

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson told the City website: "This allows him further time to get match practice while he is waiting for his chance here.

"We have a recall clause. It's an ideal situation for all parties."
