Wycombe aim to extend Akinde loan

Wycombe hope to extend the loan signing of Bristol City striker John Akinde until the end of the season.

The former Ebbsfleet 19-year-old has scored four goals in five games for the Chairboys in his initial month-long loan, which finishes on Saturday.

Wanderers manager Peter Taylor told the club's official website: "He has done a great job for us.

"We want him to stay and he is really enjoying himself here. I'm sure that we can come to some agreement."

Akinde joined City from Fleet in September but scored just one goal in seven appearances for them.
