Batt joined Posh from Blue Square South side Fisher Athletic
Peterborough United forward Shaun Batt says he is anxious to lose his "super-sub" tag and force his way into Darren Ferguson's starting line-up.
The former Fisher Athletic striker has made five league starts so far this season but has been used predominantly as an impact player from the bench.
Batt told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I don't want to be someone who comes on for the last half-hour each game.
"I want to prove I should be in the starting team."
Batt saved Posh a point on Tuesday with a late strike against Swindon.
The 21-year-old provided cover up front while Aaron Mclean was out with an elbow injury earlier in the season and says he is grateful for the opportunities he has been handed.
"If I'm honest, I never thought I would play this many games so early. I thought it would take a while to break in," he said.
"Luckily for me I had a few breaks early on and did quite well, so it's up to me now to make the most of any chances that come my way."
