Scottish Cup final clockwatch
Result: Dunfermline 1-3 Celtic

90+2 mins: Stuart Dougal blows the final whistle to end the game with Celtic deserving winners. Henrik Larsson can now leave Parkhead safe in the knowledge that he will never have to buy a drink in Glasgow's East End for the rest of his life as his goals propel Celtic to a domestic double.

89 mins: Rod Stewart has seen enough. His Celtic and his United are winning their cup finals, so he decides to beat the Hampden traffic. More importantly, Celtic's 32nd triumph in this competition takes them one above Rangers in the record books.

87 mins: The game might be up but Jimmy Calderwood's men refuse to buckle. Stevie Crawford and Craig Brewster work hard to create a chance but an offside flag prevents any late consolation.

84 mins:GOAL Dunfermline 1-3 Celtic Cup romantics look away now. Substitute Ross Wallace slips the ball to Stilian Petrov for the Bulgarian to sidestep one challenge and hold another off before firing low into the right-hand corner.

81 mins: With a 32nd cup triumph now in sight, it's showboat time for some Celts. Chris Sutton seems to be content to show off his ability to retain possession without moving more than a yard in any direction, while Stilian Petrov is using the occasion as an opportunity to display his Ronaldinho impression.

76 mins: Celtic are almost getting in each other's way now in their hurry to kill the game off. Alan Thompson, Stilian Petrov, Chris Sutton and Henrik Larsson play keep ball for a while before Thompson fires in a fierce shot that is deflected just over the bar.

73 mins: Dunfermline show their character by fashioning a chance of their own. Lee Bullen is given a glimpse of glory inside the Celtic area but Stanislav Varga is in quickly to block the youngster's shot.

71 mins:GOAL Dunfermline 1-2 Celtic Welcome to the Henrik Larsson leaving party. Alan Thompson rolls a well-disguised ball into the Swede's feet but the turn and left-foot finish is all Larsson's. That's 242 for Celtic, 30 against the Pars. They will be only too happy to wave him goodbye.

69 mins: More Celtic pressure, another Larsson chance. This time it is Lee Bullen, a second-half substitute, who comes to Dunfermline's rescue.

65 mins: Larsson very nearly makes it 242 goals for Celtic - and 30 goals against Dunfermline alone - when Alan Thompson picks him out at the far post with another pinpoint left-footed delivery. Replays of the equaliser show Bobo Balde handling the ball when clearing the corner that started the move.

58 mins:GOAL Dunfermline 1-1 Celtic Who else? Henrik Larsson scores his 241st goal for the Glasgow giants in his last appearance for the club. Chris Sutton picked out the Swede after Celtic had been forced to defend a Dunfermline corner. The finish was vintage Larsson as he bore down on goal from the left channel, opened up his body and swerved the ball just inside the far post.

53 mins: Two Alan Thompson corners, two Celtic chances. First Derek Stillie is forced to tip over Thompson's vicious inswinger, and then Darren Young hacks away Bobo Balde's effort from inside the six-yard box.

51 mins: Celtic fans are incensed when Aaron Labonte gets away with what appeared to have been an ill-judged swipe at Henrik Larsson's legs on the edge of the box.

49 mins: Derek Stillie makes his second save of the half when he dives to stop an Alan Thompson free kick deflected goalwards by a Dunfermline defender.

46 mins: Celtic start the second half in similar style to most of their play in the opening 45 minutes. Chris Sutton holds the ball up well in the box and only a great challenge prevents Stephen Pearson from meeting the Englishman's clever pass.

Half-time: Dunfermline, thanks to Andrius Skerla's header, are just 45 minutes away from causing a major upset and lifting the Scottish FA Cup for a third time.

45 mins: Chris Sutton very nearly grabs an equaliser with the last move of the half, when he repeats his spin-and-shot of the first minute to warm Derek Stillie's hands once more.

42 mins: Bobo Balde goes close for Celtic at the other end, but then finds himself out of position as the influential Gary Dempsey almost scores a second for Dunfermline with a fierce right-foot shot.

39 mins:GOAL Dunfermline 1-0 Celtic: After spending most of the half on the back foot, the rank outsiders take the lead. Andrius Skerla's looping header from Gary Dempsey's outswinging corner eludes everybody to fall just below the bar and into the net.

37 mins: Perhaps encouraged by their let-off, Dunfermline put together their best spell of the match. Barry Nicholson's stinging shot is deflected behind for the underdogs' first corner of the match.

33 mins: Dunfermline receive a generous slice of luck when Henrik Larsson is adjudged to have fouled Andrius Skerla before crossing for the unmarked Stilian Petrov to tap in. Replays suggest Celtic can feel aggrieved.

29 mins: Craig Brewster's is the first name to go in referee Stuart Dougal's book. The Pars striker is penalised for a foul on Neil Lennon and then protests a little too vociferously for Dougal's liking.

27 mins: It's one-way traffic at the moment and Dunfermline manager Jimmy Calderwood will be furious at his side's inability to retain possession.

26 mins: English duo Alan Thompson and Chris Sutton play a delightful one-two on the edge of the box to give the midfielder a sight of goal from 18 yards out. Fortunately, for the Pars, Thompson drags his shot a foot wide of the left-hand post.

20 mins: Dunfermline make a foray upfield and manage to create their second good scoring chance. Craig Brewster finds time and space in the penalty area but his fierce left-foot shot is blocked by David Marshall.

18 mins: The favourites continue to turn the screw, forcing Dunfermline to defend deeper and deeper. Chris Sutton has a decent shout for a penalty turned down when he is muscled off the ball after chasing a partially deflected Henrik Larsson cross.

9 mins: Dunfermline will have to get much closer to Didier Agathe. The wing back has twice now got free down the right flank to whip dangerous balls into the box.

6 mins: Chris Sutton looks in great touch as a neat back heel almost puts Alan Thompson through. Dunfermline defender Barry Nicholson shows his pace to beat the England midfielder to the ball.

4 mins: Dunfermline go within a foot of taking a surprise lead when Gary Dempsey fires a superb 25-yard free kick just past Celtic goalkeeper David Marshall's left-hand post.

1 min: Celtic kick off and immediately go on the attack. Chris Sutton gets an early shot in on goal with a neat turn and strike from a throw-in. But there is no danger for Dunfermline as Derek Stillie gets everything behind it.

1500: The 2004 Scottish FA Cup final kicks off.

Dunfermline: Stillie, Darren Young, Skerla, Byrne, Mason, Nicholson, Dempsey, Derek Young, Labonte, Brewster, Crawford.
Subs: Scott Y Thomson, Bullen, Grondin, Mehmet, Tod.

Celtic: Marshall, Varga, Balde, McNamara, Agathe, Lennon, Petrov, Pearson, Thompson, Larsson, Sutton.
Subs: McGovern, Lambert, Wallace, Mjallby, Beattie.

Referee: S Dougal (Scotland)

Pre-match build up:

1450: Hampden is a sea of colour and in good voice as the teams line up in the tunnel.

1410: Celtic are at full strength with no surprises in their line-up, while Dunfermline leave defenders Andy Tod and Lee Bullen on the bench and restore fit-again Darren Young to midfield.

1350: Henrik Larsson, ready for his last game in a Celtic shirt, and the rest of O'Neill's team step out onto the Hampden turf for their first look at the surface.

1340: The Dunfermline players inspect the immaculate Hampden surface as they prepare for one of the biggest games of their careers.

1330: The teams arrive within minutes of each other, with thousands of fans already milling in the sunshine outside Hampden. It appears as though the whole of Dunfermline has decamped to Glasgow, and both sets of supporters mix freely.
