Scottish Cup final player ratings
Marks out of 10 for Celtic and Dunfermline.

Dunfermline

Derek Stillie: Made many good stops, and had little chance with any of Celtic's goals. Still energetic enough to save bravely from Neil Lennon at the end.

Darren Young: Lively, strong, full of running, and not afraid to shoot. A bit too over-enthusiastic at times, and picked up a second-half yellow card.

Andrius Skerla: Could not have picked a better moment to score his first of the season. His goal should not detract from a solid defensive display.

Richie Byrne: Lively for much of the game. He frequently broke up dangerous Celtic moves, and was not put off by an arm injury in the second half.

Gary Mason: Made a vital goal-line clearance in the second half, but was replaced late on as Dunfermline pressed hard for an equaliser.

Barry Nicholson: Made one crucial interception in the first half, but was generally under pressure as the match progressed.

Gary Dempsey: Showed plenty of fight in the first-half and unlucky with a great free-kick which flew just wide. Replaced by Lee Bullen in the second half.

Derek Young: A strong presence on the right early on, but struggled to keep that going, fading somewhat in the second half as Celtic took charge.

Aaron Labonte: Possibly at fault for Henrik Larsson's second goal, but the youngster played well and made a potentially goal-saving tackle on Stilian Petrov.

Craig Brewster: Forced a good save from Darren Marshall in the first half, but was also booked for a clumsy tackle on Neil Lennon.

Stevie Crawford: Will be disappointed to blaze over early on, but deserves credit for continuing to run his heart out, even as the match drew to a close.

Substitutes:

Lee Bullen (replaced Dempsey 59 mins): Showed well at both ends of the pitch and had shot blocked.

David Grondin (replaced Mason 82 mins): Came on just in time to see Petrov seal Celtic's win.

Andy Tod (replaced Byrne 88 mins): No time to make any impact on the match.

Celtic

David Marshall: Will be disappointed not to have saved Andrius Skerla's header. But was otherwise competent and saved well from Craig Brewster.

Stanislav Varga: The Slovakian defender was not put under great pressure from the Dunfermline attack, but put in an assured showing.

Bobo Balde: Was lucky not to be penalised for a handball inside the area just before Celtic's goal. Aside from that let-off, the Guinean was comfortable.

Jackie McNamara: A solid display on a day in which Celtic's defenders were rarely tested for any length of time.

Didier Agathe: A constant threat to Dunfermline, who struggled to cope with his pace and power down the right hand side.

Neil Lennon: A typically busy and boisterous display, although perhaps did not control the midfield in the manner he may have liked. Booked late on.

Stilian Petrov: A tireless display from the Bulgarian who threatened in attack and strong at the back before capping his display with a fine strike.

Stephen Pearson: Did not make the impact Celtic would have hoped for down the left, despite making the occasional threatening run.

Alan Thompson: Always a threat at the dead ball, and unlucky with a first-half strike which went inches wide. His crosses always looked likely to yield a goal.

Henrik Larsson: His final Celtic match was - almost inevitably - marked by another striking masterclass. Had little sight of goal until his first chance, which he took brilliantly. Finished the second with similar aplomb.

Chris Sutton: Celtic's biggest threat in the first half, in which he was always lively and aggressive. Faded somewhat after the break.

Substitutes:

Ross Wallace (replaced Pearson 58 mins): Fairly anonymous, but a solid enough display on the ball.
