Former Wolves and Grimsby striker Adam Proudlock could sign for Telford after scoring a debut hat trick in the Bucks' 7-0 friendly win against Chasetown.
"There were lots of good touches and he obviously has bags of ability," boss Andy Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"He needs to up his fitness levels, but I'll talk to him about his future and I'd love to have him on board."
Steve Abbott, Philip John, Josh Johnson and Richard Davies added goals to the three from Proudlock.
"With his Wolves connections, Proudlock's a big name locally," Sinton added of the 29-year-old striker, who recently had a trial spell at Kidderminster after leaving Grimsby in the summer.
"He's been training with us and I've liked what I've seen. We're keeping an eye on him."
Proudlock's previous clubs include Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Stockport County, Ipswich Town, Darlington and Tranmere Rovers.
