The national team has also been disbanded, despite a surprise 3-2 win over DR Congo in their opening African Nations Cup qualifier. An official of the Libyan federation said that they were unhappy with Scoglio's performance. "The soccer authorities are actively looking for a manager from Italy to replace the sacked coach," he said. The new national team will be made up of players from Al Ittihad of Tripoli and Nasr of Benghazi.
