Given the long-standing failure to replace the great West Indian pacemen, Jerome Taylor has emerged as a welcome leader of the attack since making his international debut aged 18.
Following that debut he suffered a serious back injury that kept him out for almost three years, but returned with a remodelled action.
In the Champions Trophy he destroyed the Australia middle order, taking 4-49 to help the Windies to victory, and while maybe not as consistently quick as Brett Lee, clearly has the capability to unsettle the best.
