West Indies captain Chris Gayle gave a brutal assessment of his side's 10-wicket defeat by England in revealing the tourists had "lost the plot".
"Obviously we're very disappointed in the manner in which we lost the game in three days," said Gayle.
"We only have ourselves to blame. It does make a lot of difference batting in these conditions.
"But we have to give credit to England. They played some good cricket and they held on to their chances."
Gayle, who scored 28 and nought in his two innings, has been criticised for arriving in England on Monday - just two days before the start of the Lord's Test - because of his Indian Premier League commitments.

As well as some woeful batting, the Windies dropped six catches in Wednesday's final session, including three off Fidel Edwards.
"That last session on the first day put us on the back foot, and we have ourselves to blame for that," added Gayle.
"Fidel Edwards bowled brilliantly and could easily have set the game up for us. But the chances were put down.
"Fidel Edwards put ourselves in a good position, we were just lacking in the fielding department.
"The last couple of weeks we have had some hiccups with the batting, and in this Test match it kind of crumbled again - and we lost the plot. It was a disaster for us."
The two sides meet at Chester-le-Street in Durham on 14 May in the second and final Test which West Indies must win to retain the Wisden Trophy they regained this year.
Another weak batting display from the top order saw the tourists reeling at 79-5 before a 143-run sixth-wicket partnership between Ramdin and Nash ensured England had to bat for a second time.
"Nash gave us some hope but losing early wickets is always going to build up the pressure," said Gayle.
"We have a lot of work to do, we might have the day off tomorrow and then get back in the nets and work again.
"It won't be easy - Durham will be even tougher conditions. We have to go out there and fight and see if we can rebound from this loss. We still have a lot to play for in this series."
