Lord's, 6-10 May
Early morning rain delays England's hopes of securing victory on day three of the first Test at Lord's, but the weather is expected to improve
The weather does get better and play finally gets under way at 1200 BST with West Indies on 39-2 in their second innings, still 186 behind England's first-innings 377
Pace bowler Graham Onions continues his sensational Test debut by taking the first wicket of the day, having Lendl Simmons caught by Alastair Cook at square leg for 21
Next over and spinner Graeme Swann joins the party, having Shivnarine Chanderpaul caught at silly point by Ravi Bopara and West Indies are in deep trouble at 75-4
Onions strikes again in the very next over, bowling Devon Smith with a superb inswinger that rips the middle stump clean out of the ground and the tourists are staring defeat in the face on 79-5 five minutes before lunch
Yorkshire seamer Tim Bresnan finally gets his first bowl but is frustrated by the stubborn resistance of Brendan Nash and Denesh Ramdin (right) as the West Indies dig in after lunch at a sun-kissed Lord's
The Windies batsmen put on an impressive century stand as Onions shows he is human after all by dropping a simple return chance off Ramdin's leading edge
The West Indies team applauds as Nash and Ramdin bring up their century partnership to give them hope of taking the match into a fourth day
Nash (pictured) and Ramdin both notch up fifties as England's attack struggles to break the impressive sixth-wicket stand in an extended session after lunch
Stuart Broad grabs his first wicket of the innings by bowling Ramdin for 61 to end a stand of 143 runs - the biggest of the match - and the Windies are still behind England on 222-6
Jerome Taylor and Nash bring the scores level at tea and then ensure England will have to bat again, before Swann traps Taylor leg before for 15 and the hosts sense victory is imminent
Swann, a leading contender for man of the match, is producing all his tricks and beats Sulieman Benn's fragile defences with a beautiful delivery for his third wicket - and the Windies are now 248-8
Broad is also in excellent form and he strikes again as Fidel Edwards struggles to defend a short ball and Bresnan takes a good tumbling catch at slip - West Indies 249-9
Nash tries to hit Broad over the ropes but doesn't middle it and is caught on the boundary by Cook for 81 and Windies are all out for 256, leaving England 32 to win the Test
Skipper Andrew Strauss and Cook need just 37 balls to knock off the runs needed to secure an emphatic 10-wicket victory and a 1-0 lead in the two-match series
