England's frustrations at a 30-minute rain delay are forgotten when Chris Gayle departs without adding to his overnight 52 Shivnarine Chanderpaul is proving harder to dislodge though and he moves past 15 hours without being dismissed Chanderpaul and Dwayne Bravo move the tourists safely past England's total and reach lunch without further loss on 131-4 Bravo comes out after lunch firing and carts Steve Harmison for a couple of boundaries to move the Windies past 150-1 But the all-rounder tries one shot too many against Monty Panesar - Ryan Sidebottom takes the catch at mid-off And when Marlon Samuels edges Panesar to Paul Collingwood at slip, West Indies are in trouble again at 169-6, a lead of 56 Denesh Ramdin is then undone by a classic left-arm delivery from Panesar that pitches on middle and takes out off stump Chanderpaul continues his vigil and reaches 1000 minutes since his last dismissal before bringing up another half century But Daren Powell's stay is short after skying a Harmison short ball to Michael Vaughan to leave the tourists 188-8 Fidel Edwards has his stumps rearranged by Harmison without scoring and Windies lead by 81 with one wicket remaining Corey Collymore helps add a further 28 before Chanderpaul, understandably, has a swipe, but is cleaned up by Panesar The wicket gives Panesar his sixth five-wicket haul in Tests and means England need just 110 for victory The England chase starts shakily when Alastair Cook is undone by Powell - Bravo takes the catch at second slip Andrew Strauss is dropped by Bravo and Gayle before he is finally sent on his way by one that nips back from Powell Vaughan is in no mood to hang about though and is positively racing along at a run-a-ball as England pass 50-2 Kevin Pietersen is also in a hurry to finish the game, but is caught by Samuels at slip off Gayle for 28 Paul Collingwood comes in and fittingly finishes the job as England triumph by seven wickets to take the series 3-0
