Sajid Mahmood has been earmarked to fill the role Simon Jones played in the last Ashes series - swinging the ball at pace.
The young Lancashire seamer is finding it hard to believe the progress he's made in 12 months.
"I was playing second-team cricket back in 2005 so my aim for the season just gone was to establish myself in the first team for Lancashire," he said.
"But there was a lot of hard work put in during the winter. I've improved quite a bit so I'm pretty happy with how things have gone. I'm hoping to do well and get some wickets under my belt."
