No host team has ever won the World Cup and the West Indies look unlikely to reverse that trend.

Brian Lara's side have won once in their last five one-dayers, including a 3-1 series defeat to India.

And they are a shadow of the pace-packed West Indian sides that won the World Cup in 1975 and 1979.

But they did reach the final of last year's Champions Trophy, and West Indian legends Viv Richards and Courtney Walsh both think they can clinch a third World Cup.
