Lehmann's figures were his best in a one-day international

"It was just very slow bowling," said Lehmann, who had earlier made 67 off 69 balls in his side's total of 323-8.

"The pitch had a bit in it early and we lost a few wickets and had to rebuild. Matthew Hayden and I had a good partnership that helped us past 300."

Australia hold a 2-0 lead in the series with one game remaining on Saturday.

"We were bit better today. To post that total was a pretty good effort," captain Ricky Ponting commented.

Zimbabwe were bowled out for 184 despite another resilient innings by young opener Brendan Taylor, who hung on for more than two hours to make 65.

Taylor apart, captain Tatenda Taibu was disappointed with his side's performance in all areas.

"We didn't bowl well, we seemed to give them a four-ball every over.

"Brendan Taylor is really batting well but we can't lose wickets the way we did, that's really bad."
