    GB's women were convincing winners over Japan this evening, having snatched an amazing win against the USA in their morning match.

    It's been a perfect day for Great Britain's curlers.

    The men's team were comfortable winners over the USA to end with a 5-4 record, which may be enough to send them through to the semi-finals.

    Ice hockey - men's quarter-finals

    Canada were almost on the wrong end of a shock defeat in the men's ice hockey earlier, until Mitch Marner popped up with an overtime winner.

    Canada join Finland and Slovakia in the last four, with either the USA or Sweden to complete the semi-final line-up. It's 0-0 at the end of the first period of their quarter-final.

    Canada’s Will Dandjinou has dominated short track over the past couple of seasons - but he has failed to win an individual medal in Milan.

    And his campaign ends in the worst way possible as he is penalised for tripping Dutchman Teun Boer during the final.

    The bearded Steven Dubois sports a massive smile as he removes his protective equipment and has a chat with his fellow finalists.

    The Canadian is the Olympic champion over 500m.

    No golden treble for Jens van 't Wout, but he gets the bronze - thus winning medals in all three distances of individual Olympic short track.

    And his brother Melle, on his 26th birthday, takes the silver! The Dutch siblings celebrate with a big hug.

    What a spectacular race from Steven Dubois. He didn't open as quickly as everyone was expecting, but it's a fabulous race of Steven Dubois from Canada.

    Steven Dubois is the Olympic champion! He led for the majority of that race and crosses the line first in 40.835 seconds.

    The Van 't Wout brothers finish second and third - Melle ahead of his younger sibling Jens.

    Jens misses out on a third gold in Milan.

    So just one more medal race to come tonight - will Jens van 't Wout complete a golden treble in Milan?

    The Dutchman has already won the 1000m and 1500m titles and will shortly go for a third gold of the Games in the 500m - the shortest distance in the Olympic programme.

    Steven Dubois in the reigning world champion in this event, while fellow Canadian William Dandjinou looked impressive in reaching the final an hour or so ago.
