Just the five games in League One earlier this afternoon but some key results as Lincoln moved into the automatic promotion spots with victory over Doncaster.

Some more League Two news to bring you.

David Hughes has left his role as Newport County manager after six months in charge.

He departs with the Exiles bottom of League Two, having won only three of their 16 fourth-tier matches this season.

Newport are facing a battle to stay in the division, having been in the EFL for 12 years.

Crawley's player of the match Louie Watson, speaking to Sky Sports:

"Over the last two games we have been building a bit of momentum - we're on the front foot a bit more.

"It's just confidence really, I feel like we're building it and slowly but surely we're looking more of a team."

Crawley midfielder Jay Williams speaking to Sky Sports:

"It's a good point when you look at the table, but we're going in (the dressing room) frustrated as we grafted today. We've been a bit inconsistent but it was a great performance and I think we deserved a little bit more."

On the controversial spot-kick awarded against Louie Watson which allowed Gills to go 2-1 up:

"It wasn't a penalty - it's a natural position when you're diving in, you can't do anything else."

So that's how the League Two table looks at the end of a busy day of action.

Gillingham move into the play-off spots but miss the chance to go level on points with MK Dons in the automatic promotion places.

Crawley move a further point clear of danger with just their fifth point away from home this season.

A fantastic game of football comes to an end and it ends all square. It's probably a fair result in the end. A great advert for League Two.

Gillingham deal with it as Jake Turner comes to claim and that will probably be that.

A late free-kick for Crawley in a promising position on the left edge of the area. Last chance.

Sam Vokes gets on the end of a cross from the left for Gillingham but can only steer his effort wide of the near post.

Into the final minute...

The answer is no. It bobbles around the box but Gillingham eventually clear.

Crawley win a late corner on the left. Can they make anything of it?

Jonny Smith races down the left for Gillingham and he's in acres of space... but he can't pick out the ball into the box and the chance goes begging.

Dramatic late winner then? It's a game certainly fitting of it. Six minutes left for either side to find one.

This entertaining game is not over just yet.

There will be SEVEN added minutes.

Gillingham win a free-kick midway inside the Crawley half and it's floated to the back post. It drops in the six yard area but Sam Vokes can't quite get a toe on it.

It's anyone's guess who might win this, if there is indeed to be a winner.

Crawley's tails are up and Louie Watson tees up Louis Flower in the box and but for another great save by Jake Turner in the Gillingham goal, the visitors would be ahead.

Gillingham have spent the last period sitting deeper and deeper.

Sadly there were always going to be more goals in this game and it's the visitors who get it.

I feel there will be a winner soon.
