Just the five games in the Championship today but we can't complain about a lack of entertainment and drama.

Blackburn pulled off an impressive win at QPR to move away from the relegation zone, while relegation rivals Portsmouth suffered a late blow, conceding an injury-time goal to lose to Sheffield United.

Preston and Watford played out a seesaw four-goal draw and Millwall scored twice in two minutes to come from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday.

Derby went all Arsenal on us and scored two set-piece goals to beat Swansea and climb into the play-off spots.

You don't want to miss the big one on Monday night, either.

Leaders Middlesbrough travel to second-placed Coventry for the biggest game of the season so far.

We will of course have live coverage of that right here for you on the BBC Sport website.

Until then, thank you for joining us today and have a good evening!

  2. 'A good point but disappointed for the dressing room' - Stillpublished at 18:13 GMT 14 February

Ed Still took charge of his first game as Watford boss as his side drew 2-2 at Preston. Here's what he told BBC Radio Three Counties:

“I'm exhausted, but it’s not about me, it’s about the performance the team have put in there. The first half wasn’t so bad, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great. It's a shame that we did have that one moment where we switched off. Apart from that, they didn’t have much.

“We conceded from a throw-in where we're not quite sharp enough in the box.

"We need to get better at that quickly and the second goal, there is a transition where we had an overload on the mid-line and we can manage that better as well. So there are things we can improve on and we need to improve on quickly to be able to capitalise on the good stuff.

“I really hope the team has felt and taken a lot of confidence from the second half, the speed and tempo that we put in the game.

"We put them under a lot of pressure and created enough chances to win so in the end, it’s a good point, but I’m disappointed for the dressing room in that they didn’t get more.”

    FT: Derby 2-0 Swansea

As John Eustace celebrates one year at the helm, Derby fans will perhaps be both pleased and surprised to see the drastic turn around he’s constructed. When Eustace arrived at Pride Park this time last year Derby had amassed just 29 points and had a relegation battle on their hands and today with a win against fellow play off chasers Swansea, they grab sixth place. They’ve also now scored in every of their last 22 league games, the longest streak of any team in the top four divisions in England.

After a lacklustre first half against Swansea, it was a different story after half time, and you could start to see where their success has come from. They leave no crumbs when it comes to set pieces and have so many attacking options who are in good form.

With Sam Szmodics now in the fold and top goalscorer Carlton Morris playing his first few minutes after injury, it might become difficult to choose who to have in attack in the starting 11.

  4. 'We were the better side today' - Mousinhopublished at 18:09 GMT 14 February

Portsmouth suffer back-to-back defeats and sit just above the drop zone after the 1-0 loss against Sheffield United but manager John Mousinho told BBC Radio Solent that his side should have won he game:

“Any loss is difficult to take, but the nature of the goal conceded and the way the game panned out makes it really difficult.

“The games where you come away and know you are not the better side, there are concerns when that happens and you can think ‘we weren’t at it today or not good enough’. But I thought we were the better side today and should have won the game.

“The opportunities that were created and some of the chances we carved out were excellent, but we didn’t show enough composure and ruthlessness in those moments.

“For a very dominant first-half display, we didn’t come in with a goal. That’s fine - it happens, but it was about building on that in the second half and we probably didn’t do that until the last 25 minutes when we settled into the game again and had a few opportunities.

“But ultimately we got caught in the end.”

  5. 'Too easy for them to score' - Stephanpublished at 18:05 GMT 14 February

    FT: QPR 1-3 Blackburn

    QPR

QPR head coach Julien Stephan told BBC Radio London:

“I think we started the game well, in the first 20-25 minutes we showed some good movement and we had two or three good chances to score the first goal.

“It’s a question of efficiency – Blackburn had two shots in the first half and scored two goals. It’s unusual for us to conceded three goals and it was too easy for the opponents to score these three goals.

“The players found the solution to equalise and it was a good goal, but when we conceded the third goal I think we dropped mentally and we played too many long balls, we didn’t find the connections.

“Now it’s question of how we are able to react and improve and make sure we don’t drop like this mentally after we concede a goal.”

Blackburn Rovers moved out of the relegation zone with a 3-1 win at QPR. New head coach Michael O’Neill was watching from the stands, before moving to the dugout, and he told BBC Radio Lancashire:

“It was a great result for us – this is a difficult place to come. The work was done by (caretaker manager) Damien Johnson, he prepared the team and picked the team and did a fantastic job. The credit really lies with him.

“We got a great response from the players and I thought the level of performance merited three points. Our reaction to going level was good and the desire was the biggest thing.

“The front two have a lot in them, I thought the distance they covered, the way they played off each other was really good and they were also the first line of defence.

“It’s a positive step but we have to make sure we take another positive step next week against Preston.”

  7. 'A fantastic game for the boys' - Pedersenpublished at 17:57 GMT 14 February

    FT: Sheff Wed 1-2 Millwall

    Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday boss Henrik Pedersen told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I think it was a fantastic game for the boys, we played against a strong, strong Millwall team.

"We knew it would be maybe the most physical in the league for set pieces, long balls [and] second ball duels and how we managed this game today, I think big respect to our guys for the defensive stuff.

"We were really well organised and managed all the long balls and managed to win a lot of the second balls.

"Today, compared to other games, we also had some power when we won the ball to get forward, to come high up the pitch and to create something, so it's a big step in the right direction.

"To come 1-0 up it was fantastic. To give two goals away in two minutes is awful."

Millwall manager Alex Neil assesses the 2-1 win away at Sheffield Wednesday with BBC's Emma Jones

Millwall scored twice in two minutes to come from behind and beat Sheffield Wednesday to climb up to third. Lions manager Alex Neil told BBC Radio London:

“I think I would sum it up as job done, you know what I mean? Delighted to get the job done. I thought Sheffield Wednesday made it difficult for us.

"I thought we made it difficult for ourselves at times. So yeah, like I say, coming here there’s a lot of expectation that you’re just going to turn up.

"The simple fact is, apart from the last game when they played a back four, a lot of the games have been really tight.

"It’s not been plain sailing or easy for any team coming here and I didn’t expect it to be any different for us, and it was exactly what I expected.

"What I did think was that we were in a rush to get the first goal and, because we didn’t, we sort of threw everything at it and left ourselves a little bit exposed at times.

"So we need to find a little bit of a better balance in that sense. Then when we needed to make changes to try and win the game, the lads came on and affected the game brilliantly, and we managed to go and get the result we needed.”

Seven EFL sides have been in FA Cup fourth-round action this afternoon.

The biggest story of the day is without doubt League One Mansfield Town coming from behind with two second half goals to beat Premier League Burnley 2-1.

Norwich City beat fellow Championship side West Bromwich Albion 3-1, while Southampton have knocked Leicester out with a 2-1 victory after extra time.

Elsewhere, League Two Salford's cup dream is over following a 2-0 defeat at Manchester City and third-tier Burton Albion fought valiantly but lost 1-0 after extra time to West Ham United.

Sheffield United scored an injury time winner to sink Porstmouth at Fratton Park and move within six points of the play-off places. Blades boss Chris Wilder told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"Mentality maybe over control and imposing ourselves. They were better at what they did first half than what we did. They never put us to bed

"We grew into the game second half and we knew the game would settle down a little bit and it did.

"We started to impose ourselves. I thought Kalvin [Phillips] in the middle of the park, it was a really tough one to get chucked into.

"Kalvin gave us an opportunity to start finding passes and getting out, always knowing the opposition are dangerous.

"I maybe would've taken a point with 10 minutes to go, not being negative because this is a difficult place to come, so to get a winner is brilliant for everybody, especially our travelling fans."

Derby County head coach John Eustace speaks after the 2-0 win over Swansea

Derby County moved into the play-off places with a 2-0 win over Swansea with two goals from set-pieces. Rams boss John Eustace told BBC Radio Derby:

"It was a hard afternoon, obviously Swansea are back to the old Swansea way now, dominating possession, lots of real good footballers.

"I thought first-half the gaps from front to back were too big which was disappointing.

"Second half, we changed one or two things and then our shape was much more connected.

"We spoke about how we'd probably look to beat them on the set-pieces and today was certainly a set-piece game."

So what does it all mean for the Championship table?

Millwall's fightback at Hillsborough means they move up to third, though Ipswich and Hull both have games in hand.

Derby's flying form continued with a 2-0 win over Swansea and the Rams' sneak into the play-off spots.

Blackburn's victory over QPR lifts them clear of the relegation zone, while Sheffield United's late win at Fratton Park sees them leapfrog the Swans into 15th.

Preston remain seventh with Watford 12th after their 2-2 draw at Deepdale.

Sheffield Wednesday's defeat at home to Millwall this afternoon means the Owls will be relegated at the hands of local rivals Sheffield United next weekend should they lose that game at Bramall Lane.

Wednesday surely cannot wait for this season to end.

  15. 'Watford were brilliant in the second half'published at 17:11 GMT 14 February

    FT: Preston 2-2 Watford

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

A game of two halves – first half was very cagey from both sides, but Watford were brilliant in the second.

They seem to play better when they go a goal down.

You have to ask, why didn’t we see this performance the whole game, why were they so passive?

There was some real quality produced in this game from individuals.

Ed Still will be trying to get that mentality for his team to start a game exactly how they started that second half.

  16. Postpublished at 17:09 GMT 14 February

Blackburn's win at Loftus Road means not only have they moved out of the Championship drop zone, they've dumped Leicester City in it.

The Foxes players won't be looking at the table right now... they're currently into extra time at Southampton in the FA Cup.

It's a real shame that, for large parts of the first half they were much the better side.

Credit to Sheffield United, they made changes and started creating chances and grew into the game.

Towards the end you thought the game had dried out a little bit but they nicked the goal.

Pompey could have won it, should have drawn, but lost it.
