  1. 'O'Neill has a decision to make'published at 22:18 GMT

    FT: Celtic 1-4 Stuttgart

    James McFadden
Former Scotland forward on BBC Sportsound

I think Martin O'Neill has a decision to make [over Kasper Schmeichel].

Next week might well be an opportunity to see Viljami Sinisalo. We are singling him out - they are quite simple saves that he should make.

Stuttgart looked like they have real quality in attack, but Celtic look like they are going to concede.

The goalkeeper is the last line of defence and he is going to take the flak, but in front of him, can you do more to make the chances more difficult?

The two shots that go in should be saved.

    FT: Celtic 1-4 Stuttgart

It's a first home defeat for Martin O'Neill across his two spells this season.

Just his second loss in 19 games, both coming in this tournament.

The last time he lost a game at Celtic Park was against Hibs in April 2005.

    Hibs visit on Sunday.

    FT: Celtic 1-4 Stuttgart

An understandably dejected Celtic defender Liam Scales tells TNT Sports: "They are a good side. They took their chances. We could have had a couple more as well but the performance wasn't there."

In a series of short answers he insists: "It's definitely not going to derail our season."

  4. 'Lack of power and passion'published at 22:07 GMT

    FT: Celtic 1-4 Stuttgart

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic manager on TNT Sports

Celtic lacked a lot of power and intensity, certainly in a defensive capacity. It was far too easy, far too stand-offish.

That is not a Martin O'Neill team or a Martin O'Neill performance.

I cannot believe the lack of passion.

  5. No case for Celtic defencepublished at 22:04 GMT

    FT: Celtic 1-4 Stuttgart

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

No case for the defence, that's what undid Celtic here.

Stuttgart looked a decent team but they were gifted at least two, if not three of the goals with some tame defending and goalkeeping very costly.

The home side actually performed reasonably well outside those moments in the main, but there was to be no late rally this time.

A massive first win on German soil is required to progress. It seems a very tall order.
