More from Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to BBC Match of the Day on the fans: "For me, it's important that they support the team and they did it until the end. Of course the fans are like us all, disappointed with some results and some parts of the game, that's normal. Of course, I don't expect them to celebrate us when we don't win, when we don't perform right, but on the other side and this is no criticism because this is what they always did since I was here and when I arrived the club was in a very bad situation and I felt support from the first day. Generally, in life when you have bad moments you need support and this is important and thy did it until the end. Hopefully we face more wins and the mood around the club will be better and we will enjoy our life much more."

On whether he wants to stay until the end of the season: "For me, Oliver Glasner is not important. Crystal Palace is important. For me, if the club had though they need a change then I don't want to be in the way. That is what I meant.

"I spoke to the board, to the chairman, to the sporting director and they said 'No we think you are the right one'. This is for me important, not that I say I will stay or whatever because we had the best two years in Crystal Palace's history and then it's not so easy for a club to say 'hey, it's better you leave.' Then I said it from my side, if you believe it's better for Crystal Palace then let's talk it together but they said no, no we believe in you.

"I talked to the players because that's for me important it's not that I have to live in London because otherwise I don't know what to do. No, the most important thing is Crystal Palace and I am here 100 per cent to be successful for Crystal Palace. I need the players, I can't do anything, OK I can go into my office but that's it. It's important that the payers are believing in what we are telling them, I and the staff.

"It's important that the club is believing in us, that we can get this turn around and this season successfully. And this is what I talked about, I don't know if the club has a different idea I don't want to stay in the way and then we will find a solution. I didn't say I will step back, I will resign whatever, so maybe now it is clearer."

  5. 'First step in right direction'published at 16:50 GMT

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-0 Wolves

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think everybody who watched the game could see how nervous we are in the first half, making so many easy mistakes and then a great keeper saving a penalty, which was important.

"Then the second half we said before let's keep a clean sheet, we're able to score goals again and we had a very good impact off the bench with Evann [Guessand] deciding the game. Also the red card helped us, so today many things were very positive. Also, the fans were pushing us to the end to get this win and that was a big and massive win and a big relief for all of us."

On where he nerves are coming from: "In the last months if you're in a negative run it's so noisy the whole time. The whole transfer window is noisy to the end and then many things are happening and our expectations around the club and within the team are higher than ever before. we are not really pleased when performances are not right.

"I think the win today will help us but it's the same now for us it's a first small step. The first step to the right direction was the away win at Brighton and now the second small step forward and getting this confidence back and I'm sure the structure will be better and better and the results will be better and better."

  6. 'Zero points is not fair'published at 16:48 GMT

    FT: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

    Nottingham Forest

Forest boss Vitor Pereira, speaking to BBC Sport: "We are very frustrated. The way we played the first half was by creating chances and not conceding anything. It was a fantastic first half. We know the second half could be difficult because we played three days ago and travelled four hours. We didn't press properly. They won the game. In my opinion, one point was the minimum. Zero points is not fair.

"Inside the pitch, we must put the tallest guys where their tallest guys are. That must happen inside the pitch. We didn't. We lost the game in a small detail but we know we need to correct these kinds of things. It's a pity.

"The supporters were with us until the last minute and they recognised we deserved more than this but that is football. We need to prepare ourselves mentally and tactically for the next game.

"The team has talent. The players have ambition and talent. I am confident we will get points until the end of the season to move forward. One point is better than nothing. We have to come back stronger."

  8. 'We were not good enough'published at 16:42 GMT

    FT: Sunderland 1-3 Fulham

    Sunderland

Sunderland boss Regis le Bris, speaking to Sky Sports: "The game was balanced, key moments defined the outcome. We had a big opportunity just before their goal and then the momentum shifted. We know set pieces are important and we were not good enough today to manage those situations.

"The first half was a bit slow, with the ball we were not good enough. We were sloppy at times. Both teams had the opportunities. It was a tight game."

On injuries: "It is what it is, you have to go through difficult moments. Today is not a good day but it's part of the journey and we move forward."

On how players feel: "Disappointed. After defeat it is normal. As a newly-promoted side it is not a surprise, you have to go through this kind of situation. We show our character to react."

  9. 'Our performance level was high'published at 16:41 GMT

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-0 Wolves

    Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves boss Rob Edwards, speaking to Sky Sports: "Two defining moments, for me. We missed the penalty which can happen. Then the red card is pretty inexplicable then that turns the tide in the game. I thought we were brilliant with 11 men and then were really solid in the main and fairly comfortable with 10. One moment switching off and that's it we're coming away with nothing."

On the red card: "It's two quick-fire yellows and we've got to be better.

I thought we were going to win the game. The message at half-time was we can't accept a point here. We go and win we step forward.

"The final pass, the final bit just needed to be a bit slicker, the weight of the pass or the detail of it. Overall, the performance level was high. It's another step forward for us but the result doesn't feel like it."

  10. 'The first half wasn't good at all'published at 16:39 GMT

    FT: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, speaking to BBC Sport about the disallowed goal: "It hit my back and my elbow. I understand the rule but if you understand football, that goal should have stood.

"I told Hugo it would be a goal and one or two minutes later, it was. I'm very glad it was me.

"It doesn't feel nice in the moment but it is what it is. VAR is a good tool if you look at the mistakes the referees used to make. We need to waste these seconds or minutes because it's best for football.

"The first half wasn't good at all; positioning, pressing, intensity. It was not our standard. The second half, I wouldn't say it was good but it was better.

"We knew it would be a tough game because they are good at set pieces and they have really good players. It's always tough to come here."

  11. 'We want to push higher and higher'published at 16:36 GMT

    FT: Sunderland 1-3 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva, speaking to Match of the Day: "Very important win, big win for us. Well deserved as well.

"We showed quality, maturity, composure, organisation and braveness. Those are the important moments you have to step up and we did it."

On if he took Raul Jimenez off to avoid a second yellow card: "No - I have to do it because we ware talking about a striker that had four or five fouls against him and one yellow card against him. It was a little bit difficult for him, every time he went to the ball was a foul. I don't want to take any risks."

On ambitions for the season: "We want to push higher and higher. It was a key game for us. We are going to see. March is a big month for us with five games, four of them at home. We will try to perform at our best level."

  12. 'A draw would have been a fairer result than a win for us'published at 16:34 GMT

    FT: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, speaking to Sky Sports: "If you score in the last minute, there's always an element of luck but so many times this season, we've experienced the opposite. A draw would have been a fairer result than a win for us.

"If we rely on one player, then things are not good but that is not the case. Someone else has to do the job. The first half was difficult because Forest played well and they have good players.

"I wanted more control over their midfield. I highlighted how well they played but we lost every ball. The only part of the game was defending inside the box. We had to defend a lot of set pieces. We stayed in the game.

"We took over the game in the second half, maybe because they played on Thursday. We scored twice and I would not have been shocked if both goals were ruled out but maybe our luck is turning.

On Ngumoha: "The first goal was because of him. A great cross on the head of Hugo Ekitike, which you would expect to be a goal. It was a good one v one which is what this game needed. He already plays a big part for a 17-year-old. It tells you how a big of talent he is.

On Wirtz: "We tried it in the warm-up and he wasn't able to play. The good thing is there is a week to go until the next game."

  13. 'We were clinical'published at 16:32 GMT

    FT: Sunderland 1-3 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva, speaking to Sky Sports: "Very important. In the build-up all my conversations with players, we knew it would be a crucial game. We wanted to react and win the game, it was the same for Sunderland. When you arrive here the pitch was not in perfect condition to play good football. We knew the pressure would come, the home support was incredible. First half was balanced, second half we started well."

On if ruthlessness in front of goal was key: "It was important. We have had some games when we deserved much more. This afternoon we were clinical."

On Kevin's injury: "Right now it is too soon to say. It looks not easy, could be more serious but we have to wait."

On if anything has changed with his future: "No. Nothing. I am always in contact with the board. We are preparing not just the present, the future is always in our mind. This week again we had a meeting. When we have something new we will tell you."

  14. 'This is football'published at 16:29 GMT

    FT: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

    Nottingham Forest

Forest boss Vitor Pereira, speaking to Sky Sports: "That is football. Not fair a lot of times. We played the first half in a fantastic way, creating problems and we deserved to score. We didn't. We played three days ago. Our capacity to press them was not the same and in the end, we conceded. We need to accept but the supporters were fantastic. It was a short time with the team and we need to create this special situation. One point is not enough.

"This is football. It is small details and at least one point was OK.

"They have talent, quality and spirit. If they played the way they played in the first half, then we can get a lot of points."

Firstly, that was a steal for us! That’s one of the worst performances I’ve seen for some time, credit to Forest who played well. But I’ve been saying for ages, the kid Rio needs more time playing, he makes such a difference every time he gets on. Gakpo and Salah were poor.

  17. 'We really struggled in the first half'published at 16:23 GMT

    FT: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was fine margins. We really struggled in the first half. We were the lucky ones scoring in the extra time.

On the disallowed goal: "I have to see it back to judge if it's the right decision. The offside or onside is factual.

"In the first half, the only part I liked was the defending in our box. We showed a different Liverpool in the second half. We tried to bring fresh wingers in and that led to our first disallowed goal. Joe Gomez brought the long throw in.

"I have seen us defending poorer in our own box this season. That might be down to the quality of Forest. I am surprised by the league position they are in. We did not give away many big chances but we gave the ball away every time.

"I have to change my line-up constantly, not so late this time. Florian is in great shape and Curtis Jones played well last week against Brighton."

  18. 'Brilliant decision from one of best assistant referees in world'published at 16:21 GMT

    FT: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

    Darren Cann
    Former Premier League assistant referee

The Alexis Mac Allister goal was an outstanding call from assistant referee Gary Beswick. To the naked eye it looked like Van Dijk might be offside from Dominik Szoboszlai's cross, however Ola Aina's foot just played him onside.

Hugo Ekitike was in an offside position but did not commit an offside offence. It was a brilliant decision to call this in real time from one of the very best assistant referees in the world.

  19. 'Huge result with all the noise around us'published at 16:19 GMT

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-0 Wolves

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson, speaking to Sky Sports: "Huge, obviously with all the noise around us at the minute. It was nervy at 0-0, they were down to 10 men but we managed to get over the line."

On his penalty save: "It was a big moment before half-time but that's my job. That's what I'm there to do and hopefully I gave the lads confidence to go and get the win. The big man [Evann Guessand] came on and he was the difference maker today."

On whether they have confidence to win in the Conference League on Thursday now: "Of course, momentum, we needed an injection of it and we got it today."

  20. 'We take it step by step'published at 16:18 GMT

    FT: Sunderland 1-3 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham goalscorer Alex Iwobi speaking to Sky Sports: "We knew it was going to be difficult, the pitch wasn't great. We know if we wanted to climb up the table we had to get these points away from home. They have been very good at home and it's good to get the result we wanted."

On if Europe is the aim now: "We take it step by step. Onto the next game, we got the three points which was the aim, to climb above them. We take it game by game - that cliche saying and see where we end up at the end of the season."

Goalscorer Raul Jimenez added: "We tried to put our game on the pitch and we managed to do it better in the second half. We scored early and controlled the game after that."

On his goals: "I had a good feeling since the beginning and I knew that I needed to do a great game, I needed these two goals. It's good for me to be helping the team in the way I can to keep climbing the table."
