    Man Utd 1-0 Fulham

Amad Diallo leads a quick Manchester United counter before the ball is worked across the pitch to Matheus Cunha. He passes to Bruno Fernandes inside the box but the Manchester United captain's attempt to backheel the ball into Cunha's path doesn't come off.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Brentford

Best bit of play from Villa comes from Douglas Luiz's lovely feet in the middle. They're still yet to get going fully but that will help their confidence.

Chadi Riad is also shown a yellow card. Think this one might've been for dissent. Safe to say he's not too pleased about it.

Bryan Mbeumo has been a good signing. He is one of them that can get you off your seat. What a miss he has been for three to four weeks when he was at Afcon.

  9. Postpublished at 14:30 GMT

    Aston Villa 0-0 Brentford

Tammy Abraham races to close Caoimhin Kelleher down and takes a whack on the knee.

He should be fine to continue but I bet that hurt!

The best Ruben Amorim managed in 14 months as Manchester United manager was one run of three wins in a row in October.

It was the only time he won successive games as United boss.

Michael Carrick is 60 minutes away from equalling that in his first three games.

    Man Utd 1-0 Fulham

Kobbie Mainoo spots Bruno Fernandes' burst into the box and sends the ball over the top but it bounces just out of reach of Fernandes' outstretched leg.

Tammy Abraham sets the ball for Emi Buendia on the edge of the box but he gets his effort all wrong.

This game is lacking attacking quality so far.

  13. Postpublished at 14:28 GMT

Samuel Chukwueze has looked lively for Fulham and is seeing a lot of the ball when the visitors do attack. He sends a couple of balls into the box but they are both dealt with by the Manchester United defence.

The Palace first team has been decimated by the transfer window, and that's not the manager's fault or the remaining players, but they have to pull together now.

Surely Man United shouldn't have had a free kick leading to the goal, if you're checking whether or not it's a penalty, you can't then give a free kick, i.e. the whole point of VAR. It's re-refereeing the game? It should be a goal kick...

    Joe, Newton Abbot

I’m now officially confused! We are told that VAR can’t intervene for fouls outside the box. There was clearly no foul inside the box as the defender got the ball! Therefore, the decision should have been a corner to Utd or am I missing something?

    Aston Villa 0-0 Brentford

Vitaly Janelt's free-kick into the box is far too lofted and Emi Martinez comes from his goal to punch clear.

Not much goal action in this one so far. Liven it up, lads!

  20. 'Wonderful to watch'published at 14:24 GMT

It is wonderful to watch. You can see the confidence in the Man Utd players as well. The goal has given them a lift and they all want a touch of the ball. They're great to watch at the moment.
