That was their chance. The ball is driven into the box, but Emma Bissell lets herself down with a poor touch.

Liverpool will try to take the sting out of this now.

Wow. What a moment for Shaw.

When you are sat in the gym lonely doing your rehab from an ACL injury, you think is it all worth it?

Off the line once again from N'Dow and it feels like it could have been written in the stars. After all the work she's put in and months of disappointment, the reward is so, so sweet.

How will Charlton respond? They've defended so well, but now they've got to go on the attack.

    Zara Shaw

    OH MY WORD.

We've been made to wait 115 minutes, but finally we have a goal.

Jenna Clark twice hits the woodwork before 18-year-old Zara Shaw stabs the ball home. In her first appearance in over a year!

What a moment for the teenager.

Good, commanding keeping from Sophie Whitehouse. There were lots of bodies in front of her but she leaps highest and collects the ball calmly. A spill there would have been disastrous for Charlton.

Elisha N'Dow is everywhere. Another important header to stop Cornelia Kapocs' cross from meeting its intended target.

Liverpool come again, though, and Beata Olsson heads over.

    They've had their chances, Liverpool.

Gillian Kenney tries her luck from 25 yards out, but it lacks any sort of power to beat Jennifer Falk,

Bodies on the line, last-ditch defending, cramp all over the place, that is what this means to Charlton.

They are willing to put in the hard yards to stay into this competition.

Liverpool haven't upped the intensity enough for me.

  9. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:52 BST

Here we go. Are we going to see any goals or is this game heading to a penalty shootout?

It's going to get scrappier, more ragged as players tire. If you are Liverpool I'd assume that our fitness is a little sharper than theirs, and then you are trying to find something to get your team an advantage.

What a game Elisha N'Dow has had. She's in the perfect position to make a superb clearance right on the goalline, heading away Jenna Clark's effort.

  13. CLOSE!published at 16:46 BST

    Charlton 0-0 Liverpool

That wasn't far away, but the long-range effort was always bending wide from Beata Olsson.

It does feel like that's the kind of magic Liverpool will need if they are to avoid a penalty shootout.

A big moment for Zara Shaw. The 18-year-old has been out with a serious knee injury and this will be her first Liverpool appearance since December 2024. She comes on for Mia Enderby.

Mary McAteer is on for Charlton, replacing Gracie Pearce.

It sat up beautifully for Bernabe. She was left all alone and technically it was beautful, watches the ball all the way [onto her foot], but she just gets to the right hand side of it and it swerves off.

The ball sits up nicely for Alejandra Bernabe but she misjudges it slightly and the ball swerves wide of the post.

Mia Enderby is down with cramp for Liverpool, while Charlton's Gloria Siber and Gracie Pearse are also receiving some medical attention.

Martha Thomas wasn't too happy with that decision and she directs a few angry words towards the referee, who reaches for her pocket and pulls out the yellow card.

I'm so proud of the Charlton girls. They are well-organised defensively, like they have been most of the season. Regardless of what happens today, I think they have shown they can compete in the WSL.

Liverpool find the back of the net for a second time this afternoon, but the whistle had already gone.

The ball had taken a touch off Martha Thomas' arm before she slammed the ball in.
