    FT: Swansea 0-3 Coventry

Coventry City skipper Matt Grimes speaking to Sky Sports:

"It was important we responded after last week's setback.

"They started well but we stuck at it."

On not celebrating his goal: "It's strange coming back. I spent a long time here I have a lot of love for the club and I didn't celebrate out of respect."

On going nine points clear of second-placed Middlesbrough: "It's a cliche but we've just got to keep ticking the games off.

"We'll reset, get a bit of rest and crack on against Derby."

That win has topped off what has been a great day for Coventry all round.

There were no wins for Middlesbrough, Millwall or Ipswich and then we go and win 3-0 away from home.

The first half doesn't tell the whole story, even though we were 3-0 up. Coventry were living dangerously at times.

That second half-performance was almost faultless, and the best performance I have seen.

    Coventry were in total control.

Championship leaders Coventry City move a step closer to a Premier League return.

They go 11 points clear of third place after the most routine of routine away wins.

After an evenly-contested opening 30 minutes this game turned on a penalty.

Ephron Mason-Clark was felled in the area, Brandon Thomas-Asante just beat Lawrence Vigouroux from the spot and, before you knew it, it was 3-0 after quick goals from Matt Grimes and Tatushiro Sakamoto.

The second half was total non-event, which suited Coventry just fine.

    That sums up Swansea's day.

Melker Widell's ball across from the left is perfect for top scorer Zan Vipotnik at the back stick and... he slices his effort horribly wide.

    Start the car.

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Coventry have been really good in the second period, and seemed a bit off it in the first half despite the three goals - there were so many gaps.

Swansea hit the post twice, and nothing has really worked for them today.

  16. Postpublished at 78 mins

I'm not saying a comeback is totally off the table here but Swansea haven't even had a shot this half.

    Swansea 0-3 Coventry

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Coventry haven't scored in this second half, but they have played a lot better.

It is a lot more controlled and they have played and passed the ball round really well - they have just got to see it out now.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Swansea 0-3 Coventry

Josh Tymon isn't looking too sharp and he goes off for the hosts.

Ishe Samuels-Smith is on in his stead.

  19. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Swansea 0-3 Coventry

The Sky Blues decide to go for goal and Jahnoah Markelo is freed down the left.

Fly in the ointment for the away side.

Frank Onyeka checks Malick Yalcouye and he's booked.
