Jenna Slattery scored twice for Hearts

Hearts moved up to second in the SWPL and ended Aberdeen’s top six hopes with a 6-0 win at Oriam.

Georgia Timms scored two goals in the opening half an hour at Oriam, first when she powered home a header from a Hearts corner and her second game from the spot after Jenna Slattery was fouled inside the Aberdeen box.

Slattery who set up the first, and won the penalty for the second, got on the scoresheet herself just before the break with a rocket of a strike into the top corner.

Carly Johns bagged a fourth for the hosts at the second time of asking after her initial effort was saved by the Aberdeen goalkeeper.

Kayla Jardine added a fifth with just under 15 minutes to play minutes before Jenna Slattery followed up with a sixth, and her second of the game.

The result leaves Aberdeen more than three points behind their top six rivals heading into the final game before the split.

Meanwhile Hearts move up to second after Glasgow City and Celtic drew on Sunday.
