'It's my job to lift them up'published at 20:06 BST
West Ham 2-2 Leeds (2-4 on penalties)
West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to TNT Sports: "It's tough. It's sad. The way we did it has to make us proud because we reacted in the second half, we went for the game, extra time we had the best chances. Decided on penalties is luck, I don't like. We were not efficient enough to proceed.
"We reacted really well, we hit the post, we scored. Fine margins in VAR. We all felt the game had turned to our side. To be decided on penalties is sad. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes the other way. Today it's Leeds. It showed we can never give up, we have to keep fighting."
On Jarrod Bowen comments about lack of energy at start of game: "We didn't start well, the first half was not good. There was no tempo, the game didn't flow. The energy was missing and the boys did it [in the second half]."
On the upcoming game against Wolves: "Now we have to rest, 120 minutes is a lot of distance in the legs. When you win you recover faster, when you don't the sadness continues. It's my job to lift them up and realise that we have major things to fight for until the end."
