
Freddie Draper celebrates scoring Lincoln City's second goal against Peterborough United
Promotion-chasing Lincoln City overcame an early setback to thump Peterborough United after scoring three times during a 14-minute first-half blitz.
Reeco Hackett cancelled out Harvey Leonard's opener before Freddie Draper and Tendayi Darikwa added two more for the on-song Imps right before half-time.
Kyrell Lisbie gave Peterborough hope before Adam Reach and Darikwa wrapped up victory with further goals.
The result moved Lincoln level on 48 points with Cardiff City at the top of League One, with the Bluebirds kicking off at 15:00 GMT. Peterborough sit in 11th.
The visitors started confidently and went ahead when Lisbie picked out Leonard on 24 minutes.
City levelled when Hackett slotted home from Darikwa's pass after 33 minutes.
Draper put Lincoln in front on the stroke of half-time after Carl Johnston failed to clear his lines.
They doubled that advantage two minutes later when Darikwa drilled home from the edge of the box.
Lisbie chested home Brandon Khela's cross at the back post to pull one pack for Posh on 56 minutes.
But Lincoln restored their two-goal advantage less than a minute later when Reach turned home Hackett's low cross.
Darikwa bagged his brace in stoppage time after the visitors were caught on the break following a corner kick as Lincoln made it eight games unbeaten.
