It is finishes like this that prove Sam Kerr is one of the world's best forwards.

Keira Walsh just drifts out past Cathinka Tandberg and the ball she manages to dig out right from the byeline is superb.

GOAL - Chelsea 1-0 Tottenhampublished at 14:10 BST

    Sam Kerr (40 mins)

Breakthrough for Chelsea, and of it's come from Sam Kerr.

The Australian ghosts into the six yard box unmarked to meet Keira Walsh's centre with a powerful header that smacks off the left hand post and into the back of the net.

  3. 'Buchanan did well'published at 14:10 BST

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Buchanan did really well, wasn't falling for any of the little feints. Gaupset is strong on the ball, constantly moving.

Hampton has to be really alert to the deflection.

  4. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

A rare Tottenham chance and it's all of Signe Gaupset's own making.

Surrounded by Chelsea defenders the Norwegian prodigy cuts inside from the right and unleashes a wicked drive at goal that is too hot to handle for Hannah Hampton, who parries into the air before eventually claiming.

  5. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Amanda Nilden is having to walk the proverbial tighrope after her earlier caution and I must say she is doing so excellently.

She's kept the speedy Alyssa Thompson very quiet on the Chelsea left so far, and put in another big tackle to stop her running in on goal just now.

  6. Postpublished at 14:06 BST

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Thankfully for Chelsea Cuthbert is soon back on her feet, and after a few big exhales look ok to continue.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 33 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

That's a sore on for Erin Cuthbert.

Cathinka Tandberg was a little too keen to recover possession there and caught the Chelsea stand-in skipper high on the ankle.

The Spurs forward is perhaps lucky she's only got a yellow for that.

  8. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

That's a huge tackle from Niamh Charles.

Beth England looked favourite to smash Tottenham into the lead there as she ran into the box, but the full-back got back with a big block.

No goals yet as we pass the half hour but it's a great watch. A proper cup tie.

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Sam Kerr offers a handshake to marker Toko Koga after the Spurs defender slides into a vital challenge in the box to prevent her getting a first shot on target.

    Fair enough.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 27 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Amanda Nilden is the second Spurs player into the book.

It was a rather cynical block on Sjoeke Nusken as Chelsea looked to spring clear.

  12. CLOSE!published at 24 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Another Chelsea chance, and again it's fallen to Lauren James.

She manages to shuffle her feet to get away from a wall of white shirts on the edge of the Tottenham 18 yard box, but she gets too much behind the strike and fires it over the top.

  13. Postpublished at 13:53 BST

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

The Chelsea corner count is racking up. What can they make of number five?

Not much in all honesty, as Tottenham clear Lauren James' delivery at the first time of asking.

  14. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Still no attempts on or off target yet for Tottenham.

They've done well to quell the Chelsea threat in the main but haven't offered much going the other way yet.

  15. CHANCE!published at 18 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Lauren James has the freedom of the Tottenham penalty area after a disguised Erin Cuthbert pass, but Amanda Nilden rescues the visitors with a last-ditch block.

  16. 'Tottenham taken sting out of Chelsea'published at 13:49 BST

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

    Nia Jones
Former Wales international on Channel 4

Tottenham have done really well to take the sting out of the fast start that Chelsea enjoyed in the first five minutes and have enjoyed the ball when they can.

  17. CLOSE!published at 13:46 BST

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

    Cheeky.

Lauren James steps up to take the wide free-kick and tries to catch out Lize Kop at her near post but it curls just wide.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:45 BST

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Drew Spence picks up the first booking of the afternoon for dragging back Erin Cuthbert after the Scot had slipped past her.

  19. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

Chelsea have had 67.5% of possession across the opening 15 minutes or so.

It's the confident start they would have wanted after Champions League disappointment in midweek.

    Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham

James has been in superb form of late and she's just getting into her groove here. That usually spells danger for the opposition.
