Peterborough United have made defender Jacob Mendy's loan deal into a permanent move to run until the end of the season.

Mendy joined Posh from Wrexham last summer but has only made six appearances because of injury problems, the most recent against Port Vale on 20 December.

The club say he is expected to return from his current muscle injury "soon".

Team-mate Tom O'Connor has ended his loan spell from Wrexham early after a scan showed his hamstring injury will mean a long spell on the sidelines.

Posh have, meanwhile, released goalkeepers Nicholas Bilokapic and Will Blackmore.

Bilokapic made 59 appearances for the club after joining them in the summer of 2023, but none since last August, while Blackmore played 10 first-team games.
