Pools sign York's Nathaniel-George on loan

Hartlepool United have signed Ashley Nathaniel-George from fellow National League club York City on a short-term loan deal.

The 30-year-old winger, who counts Southend and Crawley among his former clubs, has appeared eight times for the Minstermen so far this season.

He has more than 100 appearances in the National League under his belt as well as boasting international experience with Antigua and Barbuda.

Nathaniel-George said: "I'm buzzing. It's a great opportunity to play football. I can't wait to show the fans what I can do."

Hartlepool manager Nicky Featherstone said: "It's great to have Nathaniel here.

"He's experienced, he can impact games positively, and he will be good to have around the place. Hopefully, he can enjoy his time here."
