AFC Wimbledon winger Osman Foyo has returned to the club from his loan spell at Sutton United after being handed an additional suspension for breaching the FA's betting rules.

The new ban from playing games comes after the FA appealed the original sanction, external by the commission and now means that the 21-year-old faces a harsher punishment.

Foyo was initially handed a five-month suspension with one month ordered to be served immediately and the remaining four months to be suspended alongside a £1,000 fine, which still stands.

He will now have to serve that same five-month suspension, but three months will now be served immediately as well as two months suspended for 24 months, only activated only if a further breach of the betting rules takes place.

The Wimbledon forward will be prohibited from playing competitively until the revised suspension expires on 24 January next year - and therefore beyond the terms of his previously agreed loan deal with the U's.

Foyo placed 252 bets on football matches between 29 October 2023 and 28 March 2025 during his time at Ipswich Town.
