Shrewsbury Town have signed Irish defender Isaac Lee for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old joins Salop from Welsh Premier side Flint Town, where he has made 19 appearances and scored one goal this season.

South-Korea born Lee began his career in the academy at Stoke City and, after several spells in non-league football, joined Flint for the 2024-25 season.

Salop say they beat off competition "from several EFL clubs" to land the centre-back whose length of contract at Town has not been disclosed.

Lee becomes the League Two club's fifth signing of the January transfer window after the loans arrivals of Brentford goalkeeper Matthew Cox, and striker Iwan Morgan, teenage striker Trey Ogunsuyi from Sunderland and Stevenage midfielder Nick Freeman, who has agreed a deal until the end of the season.
