Women's Super League: West Ham United 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

  • Published

Tottenham saw off West Ham in front of 24,790 people at the London Stadium - the second largest crowd in Women's Super League history.

Rianna Dean opened the scoring with a fine header, before Lucy Quinn sealed the win seven minutes from time.

The hosts missed several good chances to equalise with the score at 1-0.

The best opportunities fell to strikers Martha Thomas with a volley and an Adriana Leon header as both missed the target from inside the six-yard box.

Thomas had previously been denied by Becky Spencer in the Spurs goal after being fed in the box by Alisha Lehmann.

Spurs climbed to fifth in the table with the victory, while West Ham slip to eighth.
