    Yorks 184-5 - target 295

That must have been very close.

Ben Kellaway is convinced he has George Hill leg-before. The umpire isn't.

    Derbyshire 625-8 v Worcestershire 312 & 269-6

Derbyshire turn to their occasional off spin bowler Matthew Montgomery as they look for ways to breakthrough against Worcestershire's stubborn 7th wicket pair who've now batted for 22 overs.

Montgomery has three first class wickets to his name and from Derbyshire's point of view now would be a good time for him to get his fourth

Notts 139-3 - need 417 to win at Somerset

They are still playing at Taunton, and Josh Thomas has come on for some dual-spin with Jack Leach, with the hosts packing close fielders around the bat, but with seven wickets still to find, it feels like the final act.

Oh what a catch this is from Matty Hurst.

Louis Kimber fends off an outswinger from Jimmy Anderson and Hurst darts sharply down to his right and picks that off six inches from the grass.

It is Ben Sanderson versus Anderson now with the game on the line.

  5. Postpublished at 17:11 BST

    Yorks 177-5 - target 295

All results still possible at Sophia Gardens.

We are into the last 20 overs and Yorkshire require another 118 to win - Glamorgan need five wickets.

Gripping stuff in south Wales, with Matthew Revis and George Hill together at the crease.

Kent 172-5 - need 357 to win at Durham

Tawanda Muyeye again opts to take a single from the first ball of the new over, off Ben Raine.

Chris Benjamin is thumped on the pads and Raine launches into a concerted appeal but it's outside the line this time.

Kent 171-5 - need 357 to win at Durham

23 overs remain in the day.

    Durham need five wickets.

Kent are not making 357, let's be real.

Tawanda Muyeye feels like the key to the destiny of this game.

Kent 167-5 - need 357 to win at Durham

Lovely stuff from Matty Potts who wheels away in celebration after rapping Chris Benjamin on the pads.

Shake of the head from the umpire.

Benjamin has endured a torrid time in his first four balls at the crease but Tawanda Muyeye has turned down the chance to keep strike a couple of times of late, even though he's been out there for 96 balls for his 74*.

    Nervy, nervy times...

I see Lancs are at it again, had the opposition 50 for 6 and can’t finish them off?? What is the problem with this Lancs team? It was the same last season, no promotion if this doesn’t get sorted!!

    Mark, Manchester

I agree with my namesake from Petersfield. Jack Leach bowling in Div 1 against last season’s champions manages to get wickets with flight and guile but our old boy, Bashir is struggling to make any impression on a div 2 lower order. Surely Jack must be in with a shout.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17:03 BST

    McManus lbw b Anderson 27 (Northants 179-8)

It has just breezed away from the initial line a shade but it is enough to hit the pad in front of off stump.

Lancs have the breakthrough and that could be enough.

Lewis McManus departs and Louis Kimber is the new batter.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17:02 BST

    Lyth c Cooke b Kellaway 97 (Yorks 174-5 - target 295)

What a moment for young Ben Kellaway.

He finds just enough turn to find the edge of Adam Lyth's bat and the Yorkshire opener, who has gone past 16,000 first-class runs in this innings, falls three short of what would have been a deserved century.

Will the sporting declaration pay off for Glamorgan?

Lyth batted for just over three hours, faced 150 balls and hit 14 boundaries.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17:01 BST

Evison lbw b Raine 0 (Kent 166-5 - need 357 to win at Durham)

    It's up to 11.

Ben Raine skids one through and strikes Joey Evison on the shin in his crease and his uncomfortable stint is over after six deliveries.

Chris Benjamin joins Tawanda Muyeye in the middle with 24 overs and change remaining and five wickets in hand.

  13. Postpublished at 17:00 BST

Kent 165-4 - need 357 to win at Durham

Real rush of blood from Tawanda Muyeye who sets off for a single from the first ball of the new Ben Raine over and is within a whisker of running himself out for 72.

The pressure is firmly back on the visitors as Joey Evison has played and missed twice in his opening three balls too.

Another wicket soon would turn that pressure up to 11.

  14. Worcestershire's resistance is highpublished at 17:00 BST

    Derbyshire 625-8 Worcestershire 312 & 267-6

Worcestershire are continuing to battle for the draw. No early wicket in this session as Matthew Waite and Ethan Brookes continue to frustrate the home side.

Shoaib Bashir and Zak Chappell are in the attack for Derbyshire and they still have time with a minimum of 22 overs still scheduled.

  15. Postpublished at 16:58 BST

    Yorks 170-4 - target 295

Ryan Hadley tries an inswinging delivery but Matthew Revis is equal to it and the ball just misses the stumps at the bowler's end as it trundles away for four runs, just beating the desperate dive of the chasing Glamorgan fielder.

To make matters worse for the bowler, it's a no-ball.

  16. Postpublished at 16:58 BST

Notts 120-3 - need 417 to win at Somerset

Is this a drop? Depends on your viewpoint.

Jake Ball bangs one in short at Freddie McCann who follows it down the leg side and gets something on it to send it into the gloves of James Rew.

However the ball breaks free and drops to the deck.

Hands on heads all round. Did it come off the glove or maybe the arm. hard to tell. Either way McCann survives.

  17. Postpublished at 16:56 BST

Northants 172-7 (need 149 to win)

George Bartlett has left well alone when possible but negotiated the first over from Jimmy Anderson with no dramas.

The Lancs legend got some nice shape away from the bat but let's see what Tom Bailey can do against Lewis McManus.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16:55 BST

    Bell-Drummond c Aldridge b Potts 37 (Kent 165-4 - need 357 to win at Durham)

Is Durham's luck turning just in time?

Matty Potts picks up his second wicket - which might have been double that already - as Daniel Bell-Drummond edges through to Kasey Aldridge to take a good catch by his boot laces at second slip.

    The 124-run stand is broken.

Durham need six more. Joey Evison is the new man.

  19. Postpublished at 16:53 BST

Kent 160-3 - need 357 to win at Durham

Daniel Bell-Drummond survives a good lbw shout from Ben Raine.

Raine cannot believe it. He stands statue still on the track and covers his face for a good 15 seconds.

The only explanation is the umpire saw, or heard, an inside edge there.

26 overs remain. Durham are straining every sinew to try and set up a grandstand finish.

  20. new ball

    New ballpublished at 16:52 BST

    Northants 258 & 172-7 v Lancs 384 & 194

Right, that is quite enough of the occasional spin of Luke Wells and Harry Singh. Now comes what you feel is the pivotal part of the game.

Northants at least have set batsmen to face this new ball with George Bartlett and Lewis McManus 50 runs into their partnership.

Yet ranged against them is one of the greatest seam bowlers the game has seen in James Anderson and in Tom Bailey a man who has 6-79 in this match so far.

The next hour is the game, you suspect. Negotiate it and Northants could grab an unlikely draw. Fail to and Lancs will be travelling back north with 22 points.
