Gudakesh Motie has corrected his line and his length, pitched it on middle and leg and straight enough to beat Dion Myers. A bit of nothing shot from the Zimbabwean if we're honest when you are chasing 250.

Myers gave his side a little bit of hope but Zimbabwe will need a lot more from their next few batters.

Zimbabwe will know this performance has not been up to the standards they set in the group stage.

    Myers b Motie 28 (Zim 52-4)

Oh no, another Zimbabwe batter bites the dust!

Dion Myers is the latest victim of West Indies' stellar bowling line-up as Gudakesh Motie claims a wicket in his opening over.

He bowls a length ball straight towards the middle of the stumps, taking off the bails to dispatch big-hitter Myers, who missed with his attempted flick, for 28.

You can be guilty of thinking you just need sixes and fours as a batter in this situation and you end up swinging harder and harder. Singles can be just as important.

Sikandar Raza has just not got going here. The best thing you can do is come out and bat as if you are batting first in chases such as this. Zimbabwe are trying a little too hard at the moment.

  7. 6 runs

    Zim 47-3published at 6 overs

Sikander Raza just about manages to get off the mark within the powerplay with a single run off the final ball.

The captain is really struggling to get going here, after being called on earlier than he would've anticipated.

Dion Myers is doing what he can to put runs on the board though, hitting his second six of this innings through deep cover.

It's a less than ideal 47 runs off the first six overs for Zimbabwe. This run chase is moving further and further away from their grasp.

A much-needed bounday from Dion Myers. It didn't seem like it had that much power it but he's got enough bat on it for six over cow corner.

  9. 6 runs

    Zim 36-3published at 5 overs

Dion Myers fires a four and a six off Akeal Hosein's latest set to gather a bit of momentum for Zimbabwe.

He absolutely muscles a six towards deep mid-wicket for 11 runs off the penultimate over in this powerplay.

  10. Zim 25-3published at 4 overs

Zimbabwe manage to get through an over without loss.

It is crucial that Dion Myers and captain Sikander Raza build up a bit of a partnership at the crease now. Maybe some steady batting is in order, despite being in the powerplay?

Very smart bowling from Akeal Hosein. He's taken all the pace off it and managed to get it to dip and turn. A fantastic start for the West Indies.

    Burl c Hetmyer b Hosein 0 (Zim 20-3)

Akeal Hosein says "see you later" and takes out Ryan Burl for a duck off three deliveries.

Burl attempts a wild slog to find the boundary but ultimately massively mistimes it, resulting in another easy catch for Shimron Hetmyer.

That's two wickets in one over for the left-arm orthodox spinner. Zimbabwe are in real trouble now!

A heave across the line and it's two in two for the West Indies. They are cock-a-hoop. Zimbabwe are faltering.

  14. wicket

    Bennett b Hosein 5 (Zim 20-2)

Akeal Hosein clips the off stump to dispatch Brian Bennett!

That's two wickets in two balls for West Indies, who don't seem in the mood to waste time today.

Hosein punishes Bennett with another length ball, dispatching him for just five runs.

Another one bites the dust. This is not the start Zimbabwe needed.

Matthew Forde sprints off on in celebration and that was a good catch by Shimron Hetmyer.

    Marumani c Hetmyer b Forde 14 (Zim 20-1)

Tadiwanashe Marumani is sent on his way!

It is an early strike for West Indies, who are looking to keep up their fantastic momentum from their innings.

Matthew Forde bowls a full length ball and Marumani attempts an ambitious flick, but instead edges it towards Shimron Hetmyer at third man who takes an easy catch.

  17. 6 runs

    Target 255

A perfect start for Zimbabwe after surviving an early lbw appeal!

They manage to post 10 runs off Akeal Hosein's opening over thanks to two boundaries, including a powerful six over third man.

They really need to take full benefit of this powerplay.

  18. Postpublished at 15:41 GMT

Right then, let's see what Zimbabwe can do to hunt this down.

Both teams came into this fixture unbeaten at the T20 World Cup, so neither will want to give up their records easily.

It will be almighty challenge, but openers Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani will be hoping to make a dent.

  19. Postpublished at 15:38 GMT

So, a tall order for Zimbabwe to chase down 255 for victory.

It's the highest total at the Wankhede Stadium in T20 internationals and also bigger than anything made in the Indian Premier League here as well.

  20. 'Best seat in the house!'published at 15:35 GMT

West Indies batter Rovman Powell: "It's obviously a very good wicket. Credit to Shimron Hetmyer, who eased the pressure of me at the start with those big hits which allowed me to get in.

"After I got in I was able to hit a few sixes. For Shimron's innings I had the best seat in the house. The plan was simple. He was going at it and I tried to give him the strike then when I got going he started giving me the strike when he felt a little bit tired. That's how partnerships operate.

"As Caribbean boys we like Mumbai. We like Wankhede. It's place where we have confidence and play good cricket. So coming back here to play Zimbabwe we put pressure on them. Hopefully they felt the pressure we put on them."
