Action Man and the Unexploded Bomb!

Secret Leicestershire

Available for over a year

Hear the story of one of the most iconic factories in the country, situated in Coalville and belonging to Palitoy – the makers of Action Man, Action Girl, Tiny Tears, Star Wars figures, Play-Doh and Care Bears… to name but a few! During the war, the factory was commandeered for the war effort to make crucial parts for the Spitfire. It was strategically important which was probably what led to a dramatic event in 1942.. Stuart Warburton, Secretary to the Coalville Heritage Society takes up the story.
