Whitchurch: Bottom of High Street Whitchurch in North Shropshire is the oldest continuously inhabited town in Shropshire. The town was founded by the Romans in about 70AD, although little remains from the Roman occupation.
We started our panoramic tour at the bottom of the High Street. In this photo you can see High Street climbing into the distance in one direction and Green End stretching away round the corner. The free standing clock comes from JB Joyce & Co, local clockmakers, and is one of the most distinctive landmarks in the town.
