Ludlow Castle's outer bailey is huge - it covers four acres - and has been a traditional focus of the town for centuries. From here the imposing Great Tower covering the entrance to the inner bailey can be seen, along with the curtain wall and the ghostly Mortimer's Tower. Opposite the Great Tower can be seen later Tudor buildings, as well as the Castle House.
