Do you ride skateparks a lot?
Actually I do quite a lot, but the tricks I mostly do in a skatepark are all mainly street tricks. Just bunnyhopping an stuff onto the ledges and everything.

So you're not into riding transitions much?
Nah, not really. Not at all. I like riding the tighter stuff - anything that's going to be hard to ride in a park, I'll ride that. But not like a big, eight foot high halfpipe or nothin'.

So no hot vert action?
No [laughs]. Hell no! Not a chance.

Grrrrrrrrin!

What's the street riding like in Giffnock?
When people come they say it's rubbish, but you've just got to look for it. If you can see it then it's good, but it depends on what you want to ride an' all.
Graham: Most people look for the bigger or more obvious stuff. They don't really look hard enough.

Where's your favourite place to ride?
Probably Barcelona, when I come back from it.

How long are you going for?
For a week. It should be amazing after all the stories I've heard.

Hot women and sun.
Yeah [laughs].
No riding was done. 'I was gonna ride...but we found this beach...'

Where was I? Do you get distracted by the girls on the trampolines at Unit 23?

[laughs] All the time.

Do you ever use the trampoline bike?
I use it quite a lot but I've just started getting into backflips more.

On the trampoline bike?
Not yet, but I'm working up to it. I'm just getting them dialled [laughter].

What tricks have you pulled on it?
The bike flip and almost a double tailwhip, so I'm getting there. And heel clickers [laughter].

So you can do tailwhips on the trampoline?
Aye. Perfect. Both ways.

Which really does your head in 'cos you can't do them on street?
Yeah - you come to a ramp and are like... [sighs].

What really gets on your nerves?
Just folk getting in the way in the skatepark. Supermans and no-foot cans - I hate them. They're the devil.

Anything not riding-related?
Graham:
Neds.
Yeah, neds. They get in your way again all the time.

Security guards?
Sometimes. 'Cos most of the time they're pretty cool.

[Laughter] Not today!
Apart from today, yeah!
Graham: But most of the time they're just doing their job, so that's not so bad. Neds don't have a job though - that's just their way of life. They've really drawn the short end of the straw, haven't they? [Laughter]
They do get a uniform though.

Do you have a short temper?

Not really, but if people are getting in my way, then yeah. But learning a trick, I'll just try it again and again for however long it takes.

Ever throw your bike?
I've thrown it a couple of times, but, if you throw it nicely it won't break. It's controlled throws.
Graham: I'm the one with the temper.

What was your favourite TV show when you were little?
Oh, the Transformers! Optimus Prime and everyone [sighs]. I've still got Optimus Prime. He sits on my TV. And Megatron.

[Everyone makes Transformer noises]

Are you on a big video mission nowadays with your new camera?
Oh yeah. I've already broke the camera, this is my second one. The video tape got jammed in it and snapped, but I didn't loose any footage, I'd already put it onto the computer. I'm in the middle of making up a video.

What are you favourite BMX vids?
Probably the Animal video and the new Wethepeople video. There's tons of brakeless street riding in it, so it's dead good.

What are your favourite regular films?

I'm tryin' to think. There's so many! I can't think of any films! Old School - that's the best!

It is the best.

..'Cos Andy is 'Frank The Tank' [laughter], as proved at Graham's party.
Graham: What did he do?
He would disappear for about half an hour and people would go "Where's Andy?" and then he'd just randomly run in and go "YEAH! ALRIGHT! PARTY!" He'd go: "ARRRRGGHH!!! I just got a little excited." [laughter].

What's your favourite Peter Kay quote?
Graham:
How dare you!
[Laughs] Yeah - 'How dare you!'

Any final words?
If you're trying a trick, just keep trying it and don't give up.

Cheers, Jonny.
