Burns Supper

The Flotta Burns Supper was a very good evening enjoyed by all. It was well attended by visitors from Hoy and the mainland as well as Flotta Folk. Mince and haggis was served up with clapshot and peas followed by jam and coconut sponge with custard. When the band started up there was no shortage of dancers. What seamed like a short time (well it does fly when your having fun) it was cup of tea and bisuit time follwed by the raffle . Excellent prizes won by young and old. The band started up again until the end of the evening. A cup of steaming hot soup ended the night.

A big thank you and well done to the community association members

The picture looks like an oil painting that used to be in our family. We sold it at Sotheby's in the mid 50's to pay the death duties on Alan John ll's estate. Mother was glad to see the back of it.
