George Cunningham

George worked at the Linwood site from 1962-1980.

George: "When we made most of the casings, they were shipped to Coventry to get built back up to come up again and I mind once the old Shap road between Scotland and England snow put it out for about three days. We had no parts for about a week. So those kind of things disrupted everything as well as the industrial relations were not as good at that time too."

Interviewer: "What time was that?"

George: "From about '67. There was wee skirmishes going on all the time, but the unions were getting stronger as the factory picked up and they had a big say in the factory"
