Episode 3 by Charles Norton
"Let me in Patrick. For God’s sake open this door."
Patrick hadn't removed his stare from the words, scarred onto the desktop. A further thump chattered the door within its frame - sharper, a kick maybe.
"She's dead Patrick." The voice outside hesitated. "Patrick I had to kill her. You understand, I had to kill her."
A sudden pang of, he knew not what, shot to his brain. It stung. He looked over to the rattling doorknob, then to the warning - the DON’T. He knew it was for him.
Suddenly a phone rang in the corner; as shrill and clear as the knocking at the door. The knocking stopped.
Patrick grabbed the phone from its receiver. A deep voice spoke to him slowly from the other end. "Is David there?"
"Yes - Patrick's reply was knee-jerk.
"There's a gun under your mattress. Kill him."
