Whether you've embraced technology willingly, or you’re someone who struggles to find the 'on' switch on a PC, this series will have something for you. Rajesh Mirchandani finds out how modern technology touches people's lives in this lively magazine programme.
Spam Lab and Cybercrime Fed up with receiving junk email, Rajesh visits a Spam Lab to find out where spam messages originate. There he discovers how a home PC can be recruited into a ‘zombie army’ to unwittingly distribute spam, and investigates the recruitment of teenagers by cyber criminals.
Back in the studio, Rajesh hears from a man who took a company which sent him unsolicited emails to court, and won, and learns about the human cost of unregulated internet pharmacies. Find out more: How to avoid junk email
Data Centre Amidst tight security, Rajesh heads to a secret location to take a tour of a data centre, or server farm, where hundreds of companies backup servers are located. Rajesh finds out about the value of information and asks whether there's any guarantee that people will be able to build server farms as big as they need to in the future.
