The Ventura
CRUISE WITH MARCO


The auction for this package has now taken place, and it raised £18,000 for Children In Need.



The package is a for you and a friend to go on a two week cruise on P&O Cruise’s newest superliner Ventura on one of the special Marco Pierre White cruises, including a cooking masterclass with Marco Pierre White.

Package details:

*A two week cruise for two on the Ventura in the Mediterranean, which may visit ports including Malaga, Dubrovnik, Venice, Split, Corfu, Barcelona, Villefranche, Florence, Santa Margherita (next door to Portofino), Cannes and Rome. 
*The prize is for two people in a cabin with a balcony overlooking the ocean and includes food and entertainment on board.
*It also includes dinner for two people with a bottle of wine in The White Room, Marco Pierre White's first restaurant at sea.
*Winners can choose to dine in the opulent surrounding of The White Room or outside under the stars on the terrace.
*The highlight of the prize is a two hour masterclass with Marco Pierre White in the galley of The White Room - one to one tuition from the godfather of British cooking.

Please note: this does not include drinks, expenses or excursions. You will need to get yourself to the port of departure (Southampton).

The auction for this package has now taken place, and it raised £100,000 for Children In Need.



The package is for one person to have a guitar master class with Mark Knopfler, the guitar legend behind hits such as Walk Of Life and Money For Nothing.

Package details:

*This is for ONE person.
*Mark Knopfler will conduct a guitar master class to the highest bidder.
*Your 45 minute lesson will take place in Mark’s own London studios.
*You will also receive a collection of signed albums.

Please note: the opportunity will be available between January 2009 and December 2009, subject to Mark Knopfler’s availability.

SPRINGWATCH


The auction for this package has now taken place, and it raised £10,000 for Children In Need.



The package is for you and a friend to spend two and a half days in the company of the Springwatch team and National Trust experts.

Package details:

Day 1 - The National Trust

*A day out with Steve Prowse, one of the National Trust's knowledgeable wardens.
*Do/see all sorts, including seal watching from a boat, cranes at Horsey, terns on the coast, owl weighing.
*Refreshments provided along lines of fresh seafood at the National Trust's new quay at Brancaster.

Day 2 - Springwatch

*Spend the day on Springwatch!
*You’ll have a tour of the site and surroundings.
*You’ll meet presenters Bill Oddie and Kate Humble.
*Then during the live programme in the evening you will sit in the gallery and watch the magic happen.


Day 3 (half day) - Norfolk Wildlife Trust

A half a day with the warden, at Hickling Broad, going on a boat trip and getting a guided personal tour.

Please note: You need to get yourself to the first venue Sheringham in Norfolk. Accommodation is provided.

The Blades
THE BLADES


The auction for this package has now taken place, and it raised £24,000 for Children In Need.



The package is for a luxury day for you and a friend with the World Famous Blades Aerobatic Team. The Blades are all ex Red Arrows – flying two-seater formation acrobatic aircraft. They are the worlds only globally accredited aerobatic airline.

Package details:

*Arrive at 10:00 am to be greeted by hostesses.
*Chat and relax with The Blades pilots whilst enjoying a bacon butty, coffee and pastries.
*Briefing on the plane the 2Excel, its heritage and what to expect throughout the day.
*Take part in an aerial orienteering mission, planning, preparing and even fuelling your Teams aircraft for its mission. Then either be the Navigator, Radio operator or Map Co-coordinator as the mission is flown to come back with the correct answer to the Mission Question.
*Enjoy a three course gourmet lunch.
*Learn to fly and hover a helicopter, challenge yourself on the nine-screen combat simulator and of course, get suited in your Blades flying suit and take to the skies, for a totally unique and awe-inspiring formation aerobatic flight.
*Finish the day by watching your own private display by The Blades aerobatic team, whilst sipping champagne and eating canapés.
*You will also get a video of your flight.

Please note: Passengers must be under 20 stone and 6" 5'. Passengers must be in general good health and not have had any recent heart sugery or suffer from uncontrolled epilepsy. You must get to and from Northampton. You will be fully insured.

Sarah Kennedy
LORDS A LEAPING


The auction for this package has now taken place, and it raised £12,000 for Children In Need.



The package is to join Radio 2 presenter Sarah Kennedy for a weekend at one of Britain’s most stately homes, Manderston.



Package details:

*A trip for two people next year to stay at Manderston.
* Sarah Kennedy will also be spending the weekend at Manderston as your companion. 
*On arrival at Berwick on Tweed you’ll be met and chauffeured to Manderston the home of Lord Palmer. The house was the setting for Channel 4’s Edwardian Country House series, with 109 rooms in 56 acres of splendid gardens. With its solid silver staircase it’s one of Britain’s finest privately-owned homes.
*You’ll have afternoon tea with Lord and Lady Palmer and a tour of the house then a magnificent dinner in the Edwardian dining room.
*Next morning more touring of the house, the astonishing stables and the grounds.
*Then it’s off to a local farm for lunch
*Later in the year, on a mutually convenient date, you’ll stay in London at the 5-star Goring Hotel, and then Lord Palmer and his noble friend Lord Geddes will give you a private tour of the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament) with lunch and as a memento, a bottle of House of Lords whisky.

Please note: you will need to make your way to and from Berwickshire. You will also need to make your way to and from London.
